Another New York-inspired painting! This time I went to Google maps' streetview -- this is sort of the view from 20 John Street in Brooklyn, overlooking Manhattan Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge, but, with some extreme modifications and goofy perspective and not a single straight line, of course. The painting is in acrylics on a 100 cm x 100 cm canvas. Took me around 5-6 days.
I'm sorry for the awful photo-quality, I don't have a good enough camera or good enough lighting to take a better picture at the moment. Hope you enjoy none the less!

Edit 1.3.2014: The sun was out today and I took a few better pictures of the painting, though I didn't get all of the painting at the right angle, so part of the foremost bridge had to be cut off -- I'll update again with a better picture once the sun is out again!

These New-York scenes remind me a bit of the opening titles for Sesame street! You know how they used to have grungy New-York city scenes painted in the background? (With a dancing statue of Liberty?) I mean that in the best way possible! You have a way of portraying a city so optimistically, everything is blue and bright.
